You can feel the love between Patrick and Cayline the moment we met up for our first meeting months prior to their actual day. Both were gentle, polite and extremely generous with their smiles and laughter. While we sipped our coffee and tea at J.Co at City Hall, I knew this wedding will be a beautiful affair and I was glad that I had the honour of being their photographer, abeit only on the second day which is their wedding luncheon affair.
There was disappointment that I couldn’t be there for their day 1 activities which included their gatecrashing, tea ceremony and the church ceremony, and looked at envy at my associate photographer, Annette Wong, who will be covering that in my absence.
Weeks passed quickly and I soon found myself at the doorsteps of their room at Sheraton Hotel and the moment I stepped in, the warmth and love hit me. The room was half packed with close friends (BFFs!) and cousins already. Smiles and laughter were in abundance and it reminded me of just how blessed I am to be a wedding photographer. And the loving feeling kept up its pace through the entire makeup process, right through to the luncheon and eventually till the end of the day when guests lingered on slightly longer just to catch up and bid goodbyes. Local upcoming singer/songwriter, Brandon Lee, who is a personal friend of the couple, was even on hand to entertain the guests with songs from his new album – ‘My Life’.
